jquery - IE8 problems using Class and CSS to set border colour? -

i have image in div , , div has border color set using class identifier in associated css file.

there similar thread here css dashed border appears white in ie8, why? , not helped me. that's why created new thread.

the code div , image looks this:

      <div class="toolbaricon" id="agent_login" ><img width="40px" height="40px" src="toolbar/user_login.png"/><pre class="toolbarlabel">login</pre></div> 

in associated css file code looks this:

.toolbaricon {     text-align: center;     border-style: solid;     border-width: 1px;     border-color: red;      width: 60px;     height: 55px;     float: left; } 

in addition used jquery.corner.js round div corner.i thing reason problem.

my jquery be,

$(document).ready(function(){       $("#toolbar").corner("5px");      $(".toolbaricon").corner("5px");    }); 

ie8 not display border (color red) correctly.

all other leading browsers (firefox, opera, safari , chrome) paint border required red.

i presume doing ie8 not support simplistic don't see what. can me put right.

i got solution replacing jquery code from,

$(".toolbaricon").corner("5px"); 

to,

$(".toolbaricon").corner("keep 5px");
