i'm trying install extension firefox in ubuntu, either globally or specific ubuntu user or specific firefox profile - doesn't matter which. i've tried solutions posted in older threads don't work firefox version (20.0) right now. i've tried various solutions , none of them have worked.
does know of command/script can this?

figured out. core reason why didn't work because extension faulty.
the solution put firefox extension (an .xpi file) under /usr/share/mozilla/extensions/{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}/.
