javascript - Parallax Scrolling – How are these effects achieved on http://www.dangersoffracking.com/? -


i'm not big fan of parallax scrolling, because it's not mobile-friendly, designing home page work well.

on http://www.dangersoffracking.com/ page, there 2 effects particularly like: 1) fading in , disappearance of text boxes @ times (can observed @ beginning) text box fading in on scroll , out when scrolling out

2) on top left hand side , on top right hand side small icons information seem added "menu" scrolling through page.

i'm bit of novice @ javascript/jquery appreciate if explain in details how these work , maybe provide example jsfiddle? feel these provide useful resource others too!
