How to build Hadoop(1.0.4) libhfs on Ubuntu 12.04 -

i trying build libhdfs on ubunutu 12.04 mountable hdfs , stuck @ first step

1. in hadoop_home: ant compile-c++-libhdfs -dlibhdfs=1

in step configure , make utils , pipes, when configure pipes failed on

checking hmac_init in -lssl... no

found function in libcrypto in ubuntu 12.04, modify configure ignore check , add -lcrypto option, work when manually configure , make pipes
when use ant again, regenerate configure , failed again...
there method correct this?

just edit ${hadoop_install}/src/c++/utils/m4/hadoop_utils.m4, @ line 54 & 55

i don't know why stat fixed not fix in release...
