for android, people recommend using dp (density independent) measurements ui elements, , there conventions exist such using 48dp button height, etc.
i'm working on css/html/javascript application, , i'm getting lot of criticism on ui design saying not conform android design standards. application going different since using css/html/javascript instead of android holo theme, still make conform as possible. css not allow density independent measurements. when test application on different resolutions , pixel densities not , way out of proportion it's not functional. css doesn't have dp units android native development does, wondering alternatives are. can somehow pixel density using javascript , manually scale appropriately? best way making css/html/javascript app looks , works nicely on resolutions/densities?
